Deepening partnerships and meaningful engagement toward
community wellness and collective flourishing

Our focus is
imagining and nurturing
beloved communities that embody faith in action.

Through personalized coaching, strategic guidance, speaking engagements, and resources that uplift principles of community development, Awaken Neighbor is a web platform to provide ways to connect, book us for speaking or workshop facilitation, and support causes that align with this vision.

Together, through humility, active listening, and mutual learning, we’re pursuing wholeness, justice, peace building, healing, and the empowerment of neighborhoods at the margins. Beyond our full-time commitments, we occasionally partner with individuals and organizations on their journeys toward meaningful growth—walking with leaders as they deepen their purpose, weaving the fabric of communities, and embracing “neighbor” not just as a noun but as a way of being.

On the border.

Listening with others in the boundary-crossing spaces of our lives, where we work together to shift narratives toward dignity with resilient hope and imagination. To begin, consider joining one of Abara’s 3-day Border Encounters or explore a range of resources for reflection on the borders that exist within ourselves.

On the block.

Coaching leaders and teams as guides and co-learners, walking the path of transformation alongside local leaders through one-time trainings or the possibility of walking longer-term. Workshop options include Immunity to Change, Ethical Storytelling, Principles of Christian Community Development, and more.

To the backyard.

Speaking across cities, offering insights, stories, and inspiration that resonate with communities from coast to coast. We’re ready to come your way, encouraging your community toward a renewed vision of “neighbor” through Sunday speaking, contemplative reflections, zoom presentations, or living room gatherings.

We’re all connected.
